Let us explain...
We wanted to clarify a few points for everyone that used the CHAT99 code and now has questions about the credit and refund process.
-The CHAT99 discount was for the first month only, not the entire year. This was in our T&Cs but due to a technical error, customers were able to get a VPS for as little as $0.04 per month on an annual plan.
-The code was leaked on the internet and with a technical error, it went viral as people looked to take the huge discount.
-We subsequently fixed the technical error and gave everyone who had used the CHAT99 code the chance to still keep their VPS at 99% off for the first month, instead of refunding and terminating everyone's VPS.
We have then sent out an email mentioning that if you want to keep your VPS service running after 30 days, you can, but you will have an invoice every month at the standard rate, minus the credit. The credit applied to your account is the discounted payment you made, for the yearly plan.
We hope, however, that our gesture in giving you a VPS from as little as $0.04 for 30 days should smooth things over. We wanted to do this instead of refunding and cancelling everyone's active VPS.
If you would prefer a full refund we are happy to do this, but there is no panic to do this immediately, you can action a refund at any time. Alternatively, if you wish to continue the service, you will receive the invoice mentioned above 30 days from when you first signed up. The choice is yours and you are not obligated either way.
This error has cost us greatly. We hope you understand that this technical error - which has now been fixed - has not benefited us in any way.
This was a genuine technical error that went viral and we've tried our best to make sure the thousands of people who joined us with the CHAT99 code - despite misuse - could still have a VPS at a hugely discounted price.
